The Pope has already left

Don Felipe and Leo XIV at Tenerife airport, shortly before the Holy Father began his return journey

After a trip that, in my opinion, was extraordinary.

Only God is perfect, and neither Leo nor the trip were, but they came quite close. Both have made a very positive impression on me. In Madrid, in Barcelona, and in the Canary Islands.

Well, that’s said.

Leo XIV must have been exhausted, but he seemed delighted at all times. You could tell.

The King and Queen were also excellent. And very present.

And even Sánchez. For the little we saw of him.

In my opinion, Begoña was unnecessary. Although we saw very little of her. As if they wanted to hide her.

Sánchez’s ministers all flaunting their non-Catholicism. They didn’t fool anyone. You can see how in touch they are with the many Spaniards who were enthusiastic.

P.S.: Wrong headline. The Pope is still in Spain due to a plane malfunction.

In any civilized country, someone would have resigned already over this embarrassment in front of the whole world.

But in Spain, the verb “to resign” is unknown. Do the planes also depend on Minister Puente? Who is undoubtedly like the Pont d’Avignon. Which only leads halfway across the river.

And I was talking about an extraordinary trip!
