The bishop of Lérida and more than 270 priests from that diocese murdered in 1936

These are figures that are both impressive and terrifying. And the diocese of Lérida was surpassed by its neighbor Barbastro.

Remembering them is pure historical memory, for nothing suggests they could be repeated today. They were tragic and glorious days for our Church that it would be unjust to forget. Days that filled the altars with saints. With martyr saints.
