The bad part is that the Secretary of State should be one of the best-informed people regarding the Pope’s condition. That is why the tone of his statements surprises me, and not in a pleasant way. It is far from optimistic. As if he did not consider it appropriate to conceal the reality.
That is how I interpret what I have read. And I would have loved to be wrong in my interpretation.
