Pending clarification of what happened, the good name of Chilean society is very much at stake.
For the moment, the one calling for clarification of the facts is Cardinal Chomali, Archbishop of Santiago de Chile.
Responsibility of the Church of Haiti—if what happened there can even be called Church—if it handed over some children without knowing to whom or for what purpose. And responsibility of the Chilean Church if it received some children without knowing from whom or for what purpose, and which now seem to be lost—two hundred of them!!!
Hopefully everything will be clarified immediately, those children will be happy playing with other Chilean children of different color, and it will all have been a false alarm.
Otherwise, heads rolling is the least that could be demanded.
