The photographs, disseminated on the event photographers’ website, show a ceremony held on the rooftop of a building in Madrid, with views of the Almudena Cathedral. In the event, a same-sex couple appears «celebrating their marriage» while Father Josete, an intimate friend of Cardinal Cobo, and currently responsible for the training of religion teachers at the Distance Theology Institute, blesses the union wearing a stole.

The website does not indicate the date; however, a quick investigation of the photographs’ metadata suggests it could be June 2022. It should be noted that at that time Josete lived with Cobo in the same building, and of course Fiducia Supplicans, which would not allow these stagings either, had not yet been published.

Will Cobo keep Josete despite the obvious evidence?
