In the Palafoxiano Major Seminary of the Archdiocese of Puebla, on June 15, 2026, thousands of faithful, more than 41 bishops from various dioceses across the country, the apostolic nuncio in Mexico, Joseph Spiteri, the president of the Conference of the Mexican Episcopate, Ramón Castro Castro, along with civil authorities such as the governor of the State of Puebla, gathered to celebrate with deep solemnity and gratitude the 50th anniversary of the priestly ordination of Víctor Sánchez Espinosa, Archbishop of Puebla.
The celebration, which filled the seminary and its surroundings in an atmosphere of faith, prolonged applause and contained emotion, also had a clear tone of pastoral transition. Víctor Sánchez Espinosa, who on May 21, 2025 turned 75
