We have arrived, thanks be to God and to our readers, at 3,500 days—days that truly count. It is a little over nine and a half years, and we are heading toward ten, Deo volente, in the near future. To the Specola team it feels like a miracle. A miracle of endurance and constancy; so many days, so many days filled with problems of every kind, along with countless other commitments, yet each day we have been present for our readers. We do not hide the fact that the number of readers and their loyalty to our work encourage us greatly. Their presence, their contributions, their corrections show us that it is important for us to be here.
Infovaticana has welcomed us from the very beginning, providing the technical means for us to exist, and we see it growing in its effort to improve the service. We now have a more visible presence on the homepage; you can read and listen to us in six languages. All of this helps us grow and remain present in so many corners of the world.
We must always ask for forgiveness; there have been many days and many mistakes—we are not as perfect as artificial intelligence, and that means the human factor, all too human, is present. We are aware of the level and intuition of our readers; we work with people who possess a high degree of knowledge on the topics we cover and an immense cultural background. We know that each day is a challenge, and we face it with enthusiasm and joy.
These are not good times—or perhaps they are—for us without the best, because they are the only ones we have; everything else is just dreams. God has placed us in this moment of history; He will know the reasons. We hope to continue with the strength needed to persevere in this endeavor and not disappoint a Father who expects the best from His children. Thank you, and let us keep moving forward.
