I’m sure it was just an unfortunate expression that doesn’t reflect his thinking. Churches that are full are filled with people of faith, and empty ones have neither faith nor anything else. Or are we now going to claim that the ideal is empty churches?
Let’s not give more importance to what doesn’t have it. I think Massip is a good president of the ACdP and he just needs to think a bit more about what he says so that things like this don’t slip out that in no way reflect what he truly thinks. I’m sure what he wants are full churches and that he believes those who fill them are people of faith.
