Jules Verne novelist from La Vendée

I thought that in my adolescence and youth I had read and enjoyed the entirety of Verne’s novels, but I didn’t even know this one existed. The article I link to you tells about it.

And I am very glad for the current memory of that most glorious Catholic and monarchical feat that was smothered with one of the cruelest genocides devised by human barbarity.

Vendée lent its name to an excellent program that a group of priests took to remarkable heights of success that drove mad the herd of idiotic ecclesiastics for whom everything good in the Church moves them to set themselves up as its persecutors. Thus achieving what many evil people would be incapable of doing. The damage that those idiots who occupy high positions in the Church do to it, providing extraordinary aid to the declared adversaries of the Bride of Christ, I believe can only be mitigated by portraying them in their cretinism.

Federico Jiménez Losantos has been referring with enthusiasm for some time to cristeros and vendeanos, two glorious epics with notable similarities, just as the Spain of 1936 had.

And in that line, the article I link to you.

To which I also want to join from my humility.
