In March of this year, the Patriarch of Georgia Ilia II passed away and an immense crowd attended his funeral.

And Germinans wonders why something like this is unthinkable in the death of a bishop in Catalonia or anywhere else in Spain.

The answer seems obvious to me. Because here our bishops are not loved. They are complete strangers to the vast majority of their faithful.

I think it should be an urgent task for our bishops to try to reverse that absolute detachment from their faithful, who for the most part do not even know the name of their bishop despite it being mentioned in every Mass.
