A 63-year-old Jesuit dies

In the first four months of 2026, not yet concluded, ten Spanish Jesuits have already died. Aged 103, 100, 96, 85 two of them, and 84 four or more. Which would barely modify, downward, the very high average age of the Spanish members of the Company, which by the end of the year will increase by one more that of all the members of the Institute.

That a 63-year-old Jesuit dies only contributes to increasing the average age of the group. And to decreasing the number of those capable of ministries.
