Reading from the letter of the Apostle Saint Paul to the Galatians
Galatians 3, 21-29
Brothers and sisters: If the law given through Moses were capable of giving life, its observance would be enough to make people righteous. But in reality, the written law held everyone captive under sin so that, through faith in Jesus Christ, believers might receive the promised blessings.
Before the age of faith arrived, we were held in custody under the law, awaiting the faith that was about to be revealed. Thus, the law took charge of us, as if we were children, to lead us to Christ, so that we might be justified by faith. But once faith has come, we are no longer under the law.
Therefore, you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all who have been united with Christ through baptism have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is no longer any distinction between Jew and Gentile, between slave and free, between male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are also descendants of Abraham, and the inheritance that God promised him belongs to you.

Luke 11, 27-28
At that time, while Jesus was speaking to the crowd, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him: “Blessed is the womb that bore you and the breasts that nursed you!” But Jesus replied: “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it.”
