The world in constant motion and with an incessant cackling of opinions everywhere causes people to experience a swaying of fluctuating thoughts with the passing of each day. The voices that most desire to monopolize the available spaces to transmit their concepts usually do not apply the supreme logic of thinking before speaking because, unfortunately, they focus solely on speaking. The true wise ones are found in silent places, far from the daily commotion of modern concerns, attentive to caring for their mental health in order and having a well-founded view on relevant matters. This is not to say that there are no experts involved in the world, but it is much easier to obtain clarity when the environment facilitates it due to its intrinsic conditions.
On a variety of current topics, interviews, talks, conferences, and articles have been published from the usual voices. Now, we must ask ourselves a question. What do the humble handmaids of the Lord say? They suffer with, for, and in Christ; they pray with, for, and in Christ for the entire Holy Church; they seek that, through their sanctification, others may also obtain fruits from this. Does their voice not deserve to be heard on matters of special consideration? Perhaps by listening to these voices, we may obtain clarity on more than one thing.
After several arrangements and email exchanges over the course of several weeks, this delightful interview with the Traditional Discalced Carmelites of High Springs, Gilchrist County, Florida, was able to be arranged. Perhaps that name sounds familiar because a first interview was already conducted in 2025 with this religious family. In one year, the ecclesial and world panorama is drastically different, which prompts the need to consult the judgment of these beloved spouses of Christ. They have lived through the worst manifestation of the current crisis within the Church through vile persecution, coupled with being left in oblivion, having to fend for themselves. Having only the kindness of benefactors, they have been able to flourish as flowers of Carmel in the image of the Most Holy Mary, Queen of Carmel.
Below, in this brief interview, you will be able to read about a variety of relevant matters concerning the faithful and religious life within the Holy Church. Fiducia Supplicans, Cor Orans, Traditionis Custodes, the SSPX, the situation in the dioceses, Pope Leo XIV, the Synod on Synodality, the construction of their work are some of the points elaborated within this colloquium. These brave daughters of Saint Teresa of Ávila respond in a strong and decisive manner after having survived the most tenacious persecutions by the adversaries of the Cross; their way of answering is fitting given the gravity of what we are currently living. These Daughters of Carmel have the paternal support of H.E. Bishop Schneider—widely recognized for his gallantry in defending the truth—and remain faithful daughters of the Petrine See. Interview with the Traditional Discalced Carmelites of High Springs, Gilchrist County, Florida
(July 2026)
Dear sisters in Jesus Christ, I thank you for this second opportunity to interview such a wonderful group of spouses of Christ as you are. May Our Lady of Mount Carmel always guide you in your wonderful apostolate. Much has happened since the last time we spoke, and it is my desire to obtain your perspective from Carmel on several recent events. It is very likely that your vision of the matters in question is clearer and wiser in light of your union with the Divine Master, so your words are very important.
P: The last time we spoke, we were living under the pontificate of Pope Francis, and now we are under the visible leadership of Pope Leo XIV. A year has passed since he assumed the papacy. What are your thoughts on how things are going?
R: The era of Pope Francis brought with it a true increase in ecclesiastical leadership personnel who, in several aspects, are underqualified. The first among them is Jorge Mario Bergoglio himself. He never should have been elected Pope—perhaps he should not even have attained the office of bishop. The prelates, such as Fernández, Grech, and Parolin, also have no place in the high ecclesiastical offices of our church. They are diabolical appointments. It is disastrous that Leo XIV, even in the second year of his pontificate, continues to keep prelates of such a strange mindset in office.
P:In a brief span of time, we have seen the current pontiff organize several ecumenical events, meetings, encounters, and the like. Do you believe he is changing course with respect to his predecessors?
R: Catholics are forbidden from active participation in the rites of non-Catholic religious communities. For example, both Popes, Francis and Leo, participated in Pachamama ceremonies.
Furthermore, the priests of the SSPX and Ecclesia Dei, who are trained to celebrate the Traditional Latin Mass, are considerably better educated in philosophy and moral theology than most priests who only learn the Novus Ordo Mass. This is a very lamentable state in which we find the Holy Mother Church, especially at the diocesan level.
Guided by the Holy Spirit, the Catholic Church since the Council of Trent has seen great value in seminary formation, where not only are the minds of men formed in the sacred science of theology and its handmaid, philosophy, but their characters are formed by a dedicated and orthodox body of priestly faculty to help them become other Christs.
The proposal for the «recalibration» of priestly formation through the recent synodal group 4 will ensure that traditional young men are not ordained priests.
P: The Roman authorities have remained in a statu quo with some variations here and there. Do you believe the Pope has an interest in changing things to differentiate himself from his immediate predecessor, Pope Francis?
R: The Catholic Church has always taught that you only need true faith and the common sense of a worker to identify a manifest heretic. This describes our current modernist prelates and popes, Francis and Leo. Obedience to our prelates and the Pope ends with their disobedience to God.
The Summorum Pontificum of Pope Benedict, which was to be maintained in perpetuity, has been disobeyed by Pope Francis and Pope Leo. We must pray that our prelates reject this flagrant spirit of disobedience.
P: With regard to religious life, the Apostolic Constitution Cor Orans remains in force, and no bishop or cardinal has put it on the table in this pontificate. Will Pope Leo XIV decide to eliminate this poisonous document?
R: This is where our current modernist prelates exist with Cor Orans and other recent diabolical encyclicals. (Amoris Laetitia) We have prelates who participate in the distribution/desecration of the Holy Eucharist to non-Catholics. (Cor Orans) We have prelates who participate in the confiscation/destruction of monasteries and other ecclesiastical properties of incalculable value donated to pay for abuse settlements. Perhaps this is where many of our donations to our parishes go, directly and indirectly. Catholic dioceses around the world have paid billions of dollars in abuse settlements. It is projected that French dioceses could reach up to $10 billion. U.S. dioceses have paid more than $5 billion for clergy sexual abuse, and the figure continues to rise. (Traditionis Custodes) We have prelates who participate in the reduction/destruction of the Traditional Latin Mass, which is the greatest and holiest prayer on this side of Heaven that any Catholic priest could offer to the Most Holy Trinity. (Fiducia Supplicans) We have prelates who participate in the blessing/affirmation of grave sins. This is an abomination.
«But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be dark.» If then the light that is in you is darkness, how great will that darkness be? In other words, «If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!» Now, let us pray to Mary, Mother of God… pray for us sinners…!
P: Changing the subject, dear sisters, in what remains of Christendom, many have been getting to know your work and apostolate. It seems that several miraculous events have been permitted by Divine Providence to help your project move forward. What is the general state of your monastery?
R: Only for the greater glory of God do we continue building. Currently, we are waiting for the building permits to come through. We have a pro bono engineer to help us with the permits and design work. By the grace of Divine Providence, we continue to receive support from around the world, especially from many diocesan priests who encourage us with their prayers. We continue to receive new inquiries from young women and late vocations who wish to join our future monastery. So many women need healthy monasteries where they can fulfill Jesus’ call to become His spouses as Carmelite nuns. Through the generous support of our donors, we hope to see all these things become a reality for the greater glory of God and for the honor of Our Lady Co-Redemptrix.
P: When can we expect—if God permits—the construction to begin?
R: Perhaps, soon. God willing! Everything depends on God’s continued providence through the support we receive from our donors. The sooner we receive all the money to build, the sooner we will build! O glorious Saint Joseph, we place this endeavor in your hands.
