France presents the official logo for the visit of Pope Leo XIV

The French Episcopal Conference presented on Monday the official visual identity of the apostolic journey that Pope Leo XIV will make to France from September 25 to 28, 2026, under the motto «So that the world may have life».

The graphic image will accompany all communication related to the visit, which will take the Pontiff to Paris, Lourdes and Metz, and will be used in the various official materials prepared by the dioceses, ecclesial movements and entities involved in organizing the trip.

The logo was designed by Ghislain d’Orlandes, from the Argo studio, and incorporates several elements of Christian symbolism. Among them are a dove, representing the Holy Spirit and peace; an olive branch, as a symbol of reconciliation; and a cross, presented as the tree of life. The whole is framed by a Gothic-style arch, alluding to France’s religious heritage.

The composition uses the colors blue, white and red, in reference to the French flag, along with orange and green, associated respectively with light and hope. The design takes the appearance of a stained-glass window, inspired by the sacred art characteristic of French cathedrals.

The visual identity will include different versions adapted to the various communication media, some of them incorporating the silhouette of Leo XIV and the motto chosen for the visit.

The French Episcopal Conference also reported that the logo has been registered with the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI). Its use is limited to dioceses, associations and ecclesial movements for the promotion of the papal visit, as well as to journalists and press agencies in the exercise of their reporting activities.
