A reading from the Acts of the Apostles
Acts 13:26-33
In those days, Paul continued his preaching in the synagogue of Antioch of Pisidia with these words:
“My brothers, descendants of Abraham, and all who fear God: This message of salvation has been sent to you. The inhabitants of Jerusalem and their leaders did not recognize Jesus, and by condemning him, they fulfilled the words of the prophets that are read every Saturday: they found nothing in Jesus deserving of death, and yet they asked Pilate to have him executed. And after fulfilling everything that was written about him, they took him down from the cross and placed him in the tomb.
But God raised him from the dead, and he, once raised, appeared for many days to those who had followed him from Galilee to Jerusalem. They are now his witnesses to the people.
We bring you the good news that the promise made to our ancestors God has fulfilled for us, their children, by raising Jesus, as it is written in the second psalm: You are my son; today I have begotten you.”

A reading from the holy Gospel according to Saint John
John 14:1-6
At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: “Do not lose peace. If you believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house there are many rooms. If it were not so, I would have told you, because I am going now to prepare a place for you. And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to myself, so that where I am, you also may be. And you know the way to the place where I am going.”
Then Thomas said to him: “Lord, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?” Jesus answered: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
