Adriana Franco Sampayo / ACN.- Nowadays, we have little time to rest due to the large number of obligations we have taken on. Rediscovering inner peace is fundamental to our well-being. We live in a disturbed society and with a very hectic lifestyle due to constant problems: economic, social, insecurity, and many more, which make it very difficult to live in peace and tranquility; therefore, inner peace has become a luxury.
Pending matters take many forms that prevent us from breathing and resting our minds. Letting go of frustrations, hatreds, resentments, and sorrows from the past or anything that takes away our peace. Facing what worries us here and now, being brave to say what we feel; these are also ways to achieve inner peace. We can feel desperate, isolated, and overwhelmed by hopelessness. No matter what we face: with fears or struggles, God walks with us.
Gratitude for what we have is giving presence and value to what matters to us. Let us give thanks for having that which gives us meaning and happiness, thank God for being alive, for having health and all the blessings that He offers us every day. Inner Peace is knowing that, come what may, we have God to face any situation. Walking by His side is the “route” to happiness. Let us allow the compass of the heart to guide us, let our will unite with His, let His project be ours and His love our beacon.
On the path there will be many complicated stretches, sometimes we live them accompanied, sometimes in solitude, in peace or in unease, with acceptance or resistance… in light or in darkness… there are many variables, the only CONSTANT is HIM.
