The greatness of woman, called to love and dignity

Adriana Franco Sampayo / ACN.- Throughout history, women have raised their voices with courage to defend human dignity. Many of them walked before us, faced injustices, misunderstandings, and challenges, but they never stopped fighting for the recognition of the fundamental rights of every person. Thanks to that courage, today we continue walking, with the responsibility to continue a battle that does not end: the defense of life, of the family, of society, and of the future of our country.

Women possess a unique strength that arises from their capacity to love, to care for, and to sustain life. This strength is not imposed through violence or noise, but through the depth of their self-giving. As Saint John Paul II reminded us in his reflection on the Theology of the Body, the human body reveals a profound meaning: we are called to love, to self-donation, and to the recognition of the dignity of the other. In this truth lies a light to understand the greatness of women.

From this perspective, women’s struggle is not limited to claiming rights, but also to safeguarding the dignity of human love, protecting life from its beginning, and strengthening the family as the first space where one learns to love, to respect, and to live in community. Every woman who educates, accompanies, guides, and sustains her family and surroundings with hope is building a more human society.

Today we continue advancing with hope. Not from confrontation, but from the deep conviction that the world needs the feminine genius; that sensitivity capable of perceiving the value of each person. When a woman defends life, promotes dignity, and works for the common good, she is sowing the future.

May we never forget that our voice, our faith, and our hope can transform the world. Because when a woman discovers her true dignity and mission, she becomes a force of love capable of renewing the entire society.

A virtuous woman, who can find her? For her worth is far above rubies. (Prov 31, 10-31)
