Terminamos semana, el mes enfila su ocaso, la Semana Santa se asoma y hoy tenemos otro de esos días imposibles. Demasiada información y demasiado interesante. Siempre pensamos que más es imposible, la realidad siempre se supera.

The Pope in Monaco.

León XIV is the first pope of the modern era to visit the principality, where Catholicism is the official religion. Like all the Grimaldis who have ruled since the 13th century, Albert reigns according to the family motto «Deo Juvante» —«with the help of God»—. Europe’s oldest reigning Catholic house has maintained relations with the papacy since then. At the same time, the prince emphasizes that faith is not simply a profession of faith sanctioned by the State. His decision to block a law that decriminalized abortion up to the twelfth week of gestation probably had the Pope’s approval. «For me it was important to respect the value of life».

Helicopter trip, without contact with French territory. Official visit to the cathedral and final Mass in the Luis II stadium with 15,000 faithful. He will travel in the popemobile to the Church of Sainte-Dévote, located in the La Condamine neighborhood. In response to journalists’ questions about the choice of Monaco as the seat of the Pope’s second apostolic trip, the director of the Holy See Press Office explained that it had been «planned and organized» following the previous planning of the trip to Africa, scheduled from April 13 to 23. There will be no press conference at the end of the visit: the press will fly to Nice and then travel by land.

The freedom of the children of God.

Fourth Lenten sermon to the curia: «The freedom of the children of God. Perfect joy and death as a sister». A freedom that does not coincide with the absence of trials, but with the discovery that nothing —not even rejection, illness, or death— can separate us from God’s love. At the center of the meditation was the famous Franciscan passage on «perfect joy». Pasolini recalled the dialogue between Francis and Brother Leo, in which the saint excludes the idea that authentic joy consists in success, miracles, or recognition. True joy arises when, in the face of rejection and humiliation, man does not lose peace. It is not about insensitivity to pain, but about an inner freedom that prevents evil from determining the person’s response.  The meditation then focused on the theme of death, reinterpreted through Francis’s language, who calls it «sister». Not a consoling image, but the result of a path of reconciliation. The fear of death, which permeates human experience, gradually dissolves when life is shaped by Christ’s love. From this perspective, death appears as the final act of trusting surrender to the Father.  The Preacher of the Pontifical Household will offer a new meditation on Good Friday, this time in the Vatican Basilica.

Ecumenical heresy.

Viganò very clear: «León embraces the ecumenist heresy solemnly condemned by Pius XI in Mortalium Animos, treating the Anglican Communion —whose “sacred Orders” were declared absolutely null and void by Leo XIII in the Apostolicæ Curæ— as a “sister Church” with which to “walk together” by virtue of a common baptism, without demanding conversion to the one true Catholic Apostolic Roman Church».  None of the Popes before the Council would ever have dared to think and write such horrors. Where is the martyr Saint Thomas Becket?

Today there are articles that qualify the message to the ‘primate’ as «a serious error that involved the so-called «archbishop», a schismatic and pro-abortion figure».  Pope Leo XIII, in the encyclical  Apostolicae curae  on Anglican ordinations, declared and proclaimed « that  ordinations performed with the Anglican rite have been completely invalid and are absolutely null «. Subsequently, Pope Pius XI, in the encyclical  Mortalium animos  on the defense of the truth revealed by Jesus, condemned the « false theory that supposes that all religions are good and worthy of praise » and «  the followers of such a theory are not only  deceived and in error , but  that they repudiate the true religion by depraving its concept and step by step incline toward naturalism and atheism ; from which it is clearly deduced that those who adhere to the supporters of such theories and attempts completely distance themselves from the religion revealed by God». «In fact,  the unity of Christians cannot be promoted in any other way than by procuring the return of the dissidents to the one and true Church of Christ , from which they unfortunately distanced themselves at one time ». Saint John Paul II, in the apostolic letter  Ordinatio sacerdotalis  on the reservation of priestly ordination only to men, declared « that the Church  has in no way the authority to confer priestly ordination on women «. As a curious fact, his taking possession of the Archbishop’s Chair (which in Catholic times was that of Saint Augustine of Canterbury and Saint Thomas Becket) was carried out at the hand of the «Most Reverend»  David Robert Malvern Monteith, Dean of Canterbury, homosexual and living in a civil union. We hope for the meeting between the Holy Father Leo XIV and Mrs. Sarah Mullally in the Vatican at the end of April

Meeting with the Pope and the ‘popess’.

León XIV will receive in April, without hesitation and without any impediment, a «archbishop» appointed as the spiritual head of the so-called «Anglican Church» (that is, of a «religion» in danger of extinction, at least in Great Britain). We are talking about receiving with all honors an excommunicated woman, who is the head of a Protestant religious sect that denies six of the seven sacraments (including the Eucharist and Holy Orders, which implies the end of the priesthood), the legitimacy of the ecclesiastical hierarchy and, therefore, of the Papacy itself. Why? Of course: in the name of «ecumenical» dialogue. However, that same dialogue is denied even to Catholics.

The ‘archbishop’s’ ring.

Sarah Mullally wore a historic ring at her investiture as Archbishop of Canterbury, a gift from Pope Paul VI to Michael Ramsey.  The ring originates from the 1966 meeting in Rome between Pope Paul VI, head of the Catholic Church, and Archbishop Ramsey, then leader of the Anglican Communion. This meeting was the first of its kind since the Reformation and symbolized a renewed commitment to dialogue and mutual understanding after centuries of separation.

Apostolicae curae

It is the title of an apostolic letter from 1896 by the  Pope Leo XIV  declaring that all Anglican ordinations were «absolutely null.» The Anglican Communion gave no official response, but the Archbishops of Canterbury and York published a response known by its Latin title Saepius officio in 1897. It declared that the rites expressed the intention to create a priesthood different from the sacrificial priesthood of the Catholic Church and to reduce ordination to a mere ecclesiastical institution rather than a sacramental conferral of real grace by the action itself, thus invalidating any sacramental holy order. It raised a similar objection to the Anglican rite for the consecration of bishops, thereby dismissing the entire issue of the apostolic succession of Anglican priests and bishops from validly ordained bishops in the 16th century.

Leo XIII created a commission to examine the validity of Anglican orders after receiving a petition to that effect from Fernand Portal, a Catholic and former missionary, and Charles Wood, 2nd Viscount Halifax, Anglican. After the establishment of the Church of England outside papal authority, the Catholic Church did not recognize consecrations of bishops by a prelate who accepted the supremacy of the English monarch and whose appointments lacked papal confirmation.

There has always been the constant practice of conditional Sacrament for former Anglican priests who wished to be priests in the Catholic Church and, also, in the explicit statements of the Holy See on the invalidity of Anglican orders on each occasion when its decision was given.  The bull states that the orders received in the Church of England, according to the change introduced in the ritual under  Edward VI, were considered invalid by the Catholic Church from the date of that change in the ritual. The Pope considered that not only was the proper form for the sacrament lacking in the Anglican ordinal, but also the intention was lacking. He concluded by explaining the care and prudence with which the Holy See has examined this matter.  At the Lambert Conference of 1897, a subcommittee report referred to «an examination of the position of the Church of England» by the Pope, but refused to present any resolution relating to «the Latin communion.»

In 1998, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith published a doctrinal commentary to accompany the apostolic letter of the Pope John Paul IIAd tuendam fidem, which established the formula for the profession of faith that those assuming certain positions in the Church had to make. The congregation’s commentary listed Leo XIII’s declaration in Apostolicae curae on the invalidity of Anglican ordinations as an example of «those truths connected to revelation by historical necessity and which must be held definitively, but which cannot be declared as divinely revealed.» Anyone who denies such truths «would be in a position to reject a truth of Catholic doctrine and, therefore, would no longer be in full communion with the Catholic Church.»  Even Ghirlanda himself comments that «the ordination of ministers coming from Anglicanism will be absolute, based on the bull Apostolicae curae of Leo XIII of September 13, 1896.»

Henry VIII of sad memory.

Leo XIII, of happy memory, with the encyclical Apostolicae curae of September 13, 1896, after carefully analyzing the so-called «Anglican Ordinal», concluded that: «We declare and proclaim that the ordinations performed according to the Anglican rite are entirely invalid and absolutely null».Therefore, the «Anglican primate», who abuses the title of Archbishop of Canterbury, is a layman dressed as a bishop, heretic and schismatic, at the head of the sect founded by Henry VIII, of sad memory. Thousands of Catholics preferred martyrdom rather than abandon the Church founded by Christ.

Yesterday another Leo  congratulated the taking of possession of the new «Anglican primate» addressing him with this greeting: «To the Most Reverend and Honorable Lady Sarah Mullally, Archbishop of Canterbury» Lady? Yes, because the Anglican clique, composed of false bishops and false priests, all of them true heretics and true schismatics, has accepted the «priesthood of women» and has elected the aforementioned lady, who is married, is favorable to freedom of choice in case of abortion and to the blessing of homosexual couples. It would be interesting to know her opinion on «femicide», given the dismal customs of her inglorious founder.

Apostolicae curae

Article by Matteo Castagna,  on the news of the appointment of François Pauly, former executive of the investment bank Rothschild & Co., as  director of the IOR (Institute for the Works of Religion), the Vatican bank.  We are facing the direct entry of one of the most influential figures in international finance into the heart of the Holy See’s finances. The relationship between global finance, power, and religious institutions has always been the subject of discussion and reflection. But to truly understand what is happening, it is necessary to go beyond slogans and simplifications, analyzing the facts and the real functioning of institutions. The presence of a former Rothschild & Co. executive in the IOR undoubtedly represents significant news in the financial and Vatican world.

Jeffrey Epstein forwarded an email to Peter Thiel, co-founder of PayPal and Palantir, with a phrase that should have appeared on the front pages of all Western newspapers: «As you probably know, I represent the Rothschilds». In March 2026, Peter Thiel conducted a highly confidential lecture tour in Rome, in Catholic circles, on his singular vision, alien to the theology of the Antichrist. The name «Rothschild» appears almost 12,000 times in the 3.8 million files published in January 2026.

Les Wexner, the billionaire founder of Victoria’s Secret and Epstein’s main benefactor, testified under oath before the House Oversight Committee on February 18, 2026. When asked about the credentials that led him to give Epstein full power over his finances, he responded clearly: «His personal work for the Rothschild family in France. In particular, I spoke with Élie de Rothschild. He represented their entire family». Ariane de Rothschild, executive director of the Edmond de Rothschild Group since 2023, exchanged emails with Epstein dozens of times a month.  In 2014, Epstein wrote to Ariane: «The coup in Ukraine should provide many opportunities».  In February 2026, the United Nations classified the Epstein organization as a «global criminal enterprise» whose actions could constitute crimes against humanity. The name Rothschild appears twelve thousand times in the documents. And the silence of the mainstream media is so deafening that it has become clear proof that the system works exactly as described. Those who control the money control the narrative and the silence, as always.

Today’s news, spread discreetly, is that François Pauly, former executive of Rothschild & Co., has been appointed director of the Bank of Ireland (IOR), the Vatican’s banking institution.  The news of a former Rothschild & Co. executive in the IOR is, without a doubt, important news in the financial and Vatican world, especially in these times, but you won’t see it published  Why so much silence?

God’s bankers and the globalists, the price of temporal power.

After the most devastating financial collapse in European history, the authorities had finally traced the origin of the billions that disappeared. They issued an arrest warrant against Archbishop Marcinkus,  American priest, former papal bodyguard and untouchable president of the Vatican Bank. The charge was complicity in a fraudulent bankruptcy. He took refuge in Vatican City and invoked diplomatic immunity and isolated himself from the secular world.  The arrest warrant was finally dismissed in 1991,  he retired to Sun City, Arizona, leaving us a phrase that stands as the darkest epitaph of modern Catholicism: «You can’t run the Church on Hail Marys».

The Institute for the Works of Religion (IOR), known worldwide as the Vatican Bank, occupies an unprecedented and highly atypical position within the international financial landscape. It operates exclusively in the sovereign territory of Vatican City, has no private owners, does not issue corporate shares, and functions legally as a canonical juridical foundation. Officially, its mandate is to administer assets for religious works.

Unofficially, it functions as the black box of geopolitics. It is a legally sovereign microstate that offers absolute financial opacity to anyone with the right contacts, whether the head of a CIA station, the Mossad, a Sicilian mafia boss, or, as recent investigations have revealed, Jeffrey Epstein. The Church, of course, never intended to launder money for international organized crime. It simply lost its territory, panicked, and committed the fatal error of allowing private bankers to pass through without being watched by the Swiss Guard.

The decline began long before Marcinkus. It began, as Roman catastrophes usually do, with a sudden and humiliating loss of properties. Before the end of the 19th century, the Pope was not simply a spiritual shepherd; he was a king. The Holy See obtained its wealth from the Papal States, a vast temporal domain that encompassed much of central Italy. Then, in 1870, Italian nationalist forces took Rome. They stripped the Papacy of its territories, eliminated its main sources of tax revenue, and plunged the Holy See into severe financial instability. The Church was cornered. To survive, it discreetly abandoned its medieval resistance to usury and modern capitalism.

In 1832, facing a persistent structural deficit after the Napoleonic wars, Pope Gregory XVI obtained a vital financial lifeline from the Rothschild banking dynasty.  James Mayer de Rothschild in Paris and Carl Mayer von Rothschild in Naples structured a historic sovereign loan of 400,000 pounds sterling to the Holy See. This agreement provided the immediate liquidity needed to settle short-term high-interest debts and preserve the Pope’s waning temporal power. The Rothschilds acted as sovereign bond subscribers, essentially playing the role of lead managers of the debt issuance. For the Rothschild family, becoming the «official banker of the Holy See» meant their absolute consolidation among the European elite. This 19th-century rescue set a fatal precedent: in the face of an institutional crisis, the Vatican would discreetly turn to private banking houses.

The definitive integration into the globalist system took place in 1929. Pope Pius XI signed the Lateran Pacts with Benito Mussolini’s fascist government. As compensation for the loss of the Papal States, Italy handed over to the Church 750 million lire in cash and 1 billion lire in Italian government bonds. Suddenly, the Pope became one of Europe’s largest private investors. To manage this unexpected fortune, the Vatican appointed the shrewd Italian financier Bernardino Nogara. Nogara did not bother investing in pious, low-yield ecclesiastical bonds. He aggressively diversified the portfolio into international markets, real estate, and industrial companies.  In a few years, he transformed the Vatican from a passive charitable organization into an active and highly influential corporate shareholder.

But World War II turned that wealth into a burden. The global conflict made the Vatican’s investments in both Allied and Axis countries highly vulnerable to seizure, freezing, or intense regulatory scrutiny. For this reason, on June 27, 1942, Pope Pius XII executed a masterful maneuver of sovereign financial defense: he issued a papal decree formally establishing the Institute for the Works of Religion. Since the State of Vatican City was universally recognized as a sovereign, independent, and neutral entity, an internal bank allowed the Church to transfer capital fluidly between Allied and Axis territories without risk of asset confiscation. In addition, it guaranteed absolute confidentiality. If external banks had managed the Church’s finances during the war, international regulators and enemy intelligence agencies would have had access to sensitive information that the Vatican wished to hide at all costs. They transferred funds worldwide through diplomatic channels, flights between New York and Lisbon, and certified mail trains to Rome.

During the war, the IOR channeled aid funds for prisoners, but the secrecy also hid much murkier transactions. Post-war investigations, conducted by U.S. Treasury agents, revealed that the Vatican was trafficking in German insurance policies that refused to pay indemnities to families of Jewish Holocaust victims, as they could not certify the deaths. In 1946, U.S. Treasury agents reported that approximately 225 million dollars in stolen and looted Nazi gold had been clandestinely channeled through Vatican channels.

After the defeat of the Axis, Rome recognized a new existential enemy: the Soviet Union. This ideological realignment gave rise to a tactical alliance between the IOR, the Vatican’s former intelligence service, and Western intelligence agencies. Since 1566, the Vatican has directed one of the world’s oldest espionage networks. Colloquially known as «L’Entità», it leverages the global presence of Catholic priests and nuncios, providing unprecedented human intelligence gathering capability. Nazi hunter Simon Wiesenthal described L’Entità as «the best and most effective espionage service I know in the world». Immediately after the war, L’Entità helped orchestrate «ratlines» —clandestine smugglers to introduce high-ranking Nazis and Croatian Ustashas into South American sanctuaries—. All this deep state architecture now had a sovereign financial sanctuary, absolutely immune to nation-state norms, and perfect for the operations about to begin.

As the Cold War froze Europe, Rome’s fierce anticommunism coincided perfectly with NATO’s Operation Gladio.   Originally conceived as a paramilitary resistance force against a Soviet invasion, Gladio’s true utility was internal. It quickly transformed into what became known as the « Strategy of Tension ». It was a purely military operation. Gladio agents, in close collaboration with local neofascist paramilitaries such as Ordine Nuovo , carried out psychological warfare, assassinations, and false flag operations. They executed brutal acts of terrorism against European citizens —specifically, bombing innocent civilians— to then blame communist radicals for the violence. A classic false flag attack strategy.

The goal was primordial: to terrorize the population, dismantle left-wing movements and force a panic-stricken population to accept an authoritarian order as the price of security. The Piazza Fontana massacre  in Milan in December 1969, which left 17 dead and 88 injured, remains the paradigmatic example of this brutal internal subversion. Declassified documents later confirmed that U.S. intelligence agents had prior knowledge of the attacks —perhaps even participated in the operational planning—, but witnessed the death of innocents, as the strategy envisaged.

Naturally, directing a secret army on a continental scale dedicated to terrorism requires enormous amounts of untraceable liquid capital. False flag attacks cannot be financed with a parliamentary budget. A sovereign refuge is needed.  The nexus between Western intelligence, the Gladio networks, and the Vatican Bank was a clandestine neofascist group called Masonic lodge Propaganda Due (P2) . Led by «Venerable Master» Licio Gelli, the P2 was a «state within a state,» counting among its members high-ranking Italian intelligence officials, military generals, and elite bankers. Gelli needed massive capital to finance right-wing subversion. He obtained it from the Vatican Bank, run by Archbishop Marcinkus, and with the facilitation of Roberto Calvi, a deeply entrenched P2 member and president of the Banco Ambrosiano .

Calvi, known as the “banker of God,” orchestrated an international fraud of astonishing audacity. Banco Ambrosiano created an intricate network of shell companies in Panama, Luxembourg, and South America. The IOR became the main shareholder of many of these international entities, and Marcinkus was directly on the board of Ambrosiano Overseas in Nassau. Calvi diverted funds from Italy, deposited them in tax havens, and then had the shell companies obtain massive unsecured loans from Ambrosiano’s Milan headquarters. To reassure creditors, Archbishop Marcinkus issued «letters of patronage,» essentially offering the moral guarantee and sovereign backing of the Vatican Bank as collateral.

Where did the billions go? They were used to launder huge sums of money for the Sicilian mafia (led by boss Giuseppe “Pippo” Calò), finance the P2’s illegal political activities, and provide massive capital for international arms trafficking. During the Falklands War, Ambrosiano funds guaranteed a $200 million line of credit for Peru to buy Exocet missiles for Argentina, a contract signed by an Argentine naval officer and confirmed P2 member.

In the spring of 1982, an audit revealed an astonishing $1.287 billion deficit in Banco Ambrosiano’s accounts. The consequences were catastrophic. Investigating magistrate Emilio Alessandrini was murdered by a left-wing terrorist group. Calvi’s personal secretary died after falling from an office window. And Calvi? Facing imminent arrest and pursued by the mafia and P2 creditors, whose laundered funds had vanished, he fled Italy. On the morning of Friday, June 18, 1982, Calvi was found hanging from a scaffold under London’s Blackfriars Bridge. In his pockets he carried five bricks to weigh him down and $14,000 in three different currencies. Advanced forensic investigations, conducted more than a decade later, conclusively proved he was murdered: taken by boat and hanged over the Thames. A mafia informant later testified that Calvi was killed on direct orders from Giuseppe Calò and Licio Gelli to silence him permanently about the Vatican’s money laundering.

The end of the Cold War deprived the Vatican Bank of its main justification for covert operations. Without the communist threat, the opaque sovereign structures simply became breeding grounds for internal embezzlement. The Church tried to clean up the institution. They hired lay financial expert Angelo Caloia to replace Marcinkus. Instead of cleaning up the bank, Caloia perpetrated a massive real estate scam. Between 2001 and 2008, Caloia and his lawyer conspired to sell 29 Vatican properties at prices far below their real value, pocketing 57 million euros and laundering them through Swiss offshore accounts. He was sentenced to nearly nine years in prison in 2021. The situation worsened and in 2010, Italian financial police confiscated 23 million euros from IOR accounts due to absolute financial opacity, and major banks like JPMorgan Chase began closing their accounts.

Pope Francis appointed Jean-Baptiste de Franssu , a French financier of aristocratic origin, president of the IOR Supervisory Board in 2014. De Franssu is not a theologian, he is the former executive director of Invesco Europe.  And here is where the ghosts of 1832 reappear. The Vatican’s historic dependence on the Rothschild network simply evolved into modern regulatory forms. A highly sensitive public revelation made in 2026 by the U.S. Department of Justice, published under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, finally exposed the current clientele. The Department of Justice brought to light a 2015 contract worth $25 million between the Edmond de Rothschild Group and Southern Trust, the infamous U.S. Virgin Islands financial entity wholly owned by Jeffrey Epstein.

This consulting contract referred to “risk analysis,” although internal communications described it bluntly as “regulatory correction” in relation to Vatican-linked entities. Epstein was not seeking spiritual absolution; he was seeking maximum sovereign protection. Leveraging the Vatican’s unique banking status remained a “strategic priority” for Epstein’s wealth managers well into 2018. It is likely that the frenetic times of Operation Gladio and bankers found hanging from London bridges are a thing of the past. Today, the IOR’s sovereign opacity is the target of elite private wealth managers seeking to protect massive capital flows from increasingly strict globalized regulatory frameworks. Precisely on March 25, 2026, another blow was dealt to financial independence when a former Rothschild director was named new head of the Vatican Bank . The Vatican Bank sacrificed its spiritual mission for earthly security. In doing so, it did not defeat the globalist financial architecture; it simply became a subsidiary of it.

The Vetus Ordo communities.

Beltrán publishes in The Pillar about the letter to the French bishops gathered in Lourdes. The message, written on behalf of Pope Leo XIV , addresses the issue of traditional liturgy in a pastoral tone and calls for overcoming the divisions created by the restrictions imposed by Traditionis Custodes in 2021. The Pope states that he is » particularly attentive » to the bishops’ debate on the liturgy » in the context of the growth of communities linked to the Vetus Ordo». «It is troubling that a painful wound continues to open in the Church with regard to the celebration of the Mass, the true sacrament of unity».  To heal this wound, according to the message, it is necessary to adopt » a new perspective » characterized by » a greater understanding of mutual sensitivities » that allows » brothers, enriched by their diversity, to welcome one another in charity and in the unity of faith «. The text concludes with a concrete invitation: «May the Holy Spirit suggest concrete solutions that allow the generous inclusion of those who are sincerely attached to the Vetus Ordo, in accordance with the guidelines established by the Second Vatican Council on liturgy».  France has been one of the epicenters of communities linked to the traditional Mass.  After the publication of Traditionis Custodes, only about 20% of French bishops had implemented severe restrictions.  Pope Leo XIV’s message presents itself as the first concrete sign of the desire to heal the «painful wound» of the liturgy, privileging unity in charity.

The Last Judgment reappears.

Michelangelo’s Last Judgment has become visible again «in all its amazing power and in the splendor of its original colors». Throughout the restoration, the Sistine Chapel remained open. «The Vatican Museums are welcoming museums. Their mission is to always keep their doors open to the faithful and visitors. This was also the case with this exceptional opportunity to care for and preserve one of its most precious jewels: Michelangelo’s fresco that represents, with dramatic intensity, the end of times». Let us hope that this makes the current Vatican administration think  about the gravity of its decisions before those to whom they will soon have to account before God’s judgment.

Earth Hour.

On Saturday, March 28, at 8:00 p.m., monuments, streets, squares, and public and private buildings will turn off to demand concrete measures against the climate crisis, the biggest scam, at least one of the biggest, in history. The Holy See and Vatican City will also participate, turning off the lights of the dome, the facade, and the colonnade of St. Peter’s Basilica.

Secret hearing of Orlandi.

Long hearing before the members of the bicameral investigation commission on the disappearances of Emanuela Orlandi and Mirella Gregori. Marco Accetti, the photographer summoned to testify about the disappearance of the two teenagers, remained in session for six hours. Before entering, his lawyer exchanged a few words: « He does not want to be seen as a mythomaniac », Accetti has offered numerous contradictory versions over the years. Comment from Pietro Orlandi: «He can’t keep mocking us». «I would like to know from his lawyer what the corroboration would be. Accetti has never provided any evidence in the 13 years since he incriminated himself. The calls made to the house are not from Accetti, although I keep reading that he is the operator, he is the operator », commented Emanuela’s brother. «The analyses cited to give credibility to Accetti come from the expert. The official forensic experts, whose analyses are in the file, confirm only a few calls with similarities to Accetti’s voice made to lawyer Egidio starting in August 1983, after Mirella’s case was linked to Emanuela’s».

The wedding photographer.

In Louisville, Kentucky, and the protagonist is wedding photographer Chelsey Nelson, who in 2019 sued the city for forcing her to photograph same-sex weddings under a municipal equity ordinance, arguing that not doing so would constitute discrimination. In October last year, Judge Benjamin Beaton upheld previous rulings establishing that the city could not force Nelson to violate her religious beliefs.  Backed by a 2023 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that recognized the right of a Christian web designer, protected by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, to not create websites for same-sex weddings, the judge also upheld the photographer’s right to not work on such weddings. Subsequently, the city reached a settlement with the photographer and the city of Louisville will have to pay $800,000 in legal fees. «Public institutions cannot force citizens to do or say things they do not believe in». Chelsey:  «My greatest goal in life is to honor God, and this inspires everything I do, even my work. When I am older and look back, I want to be able to say that I have remained faithful to this goal: having fought the good fight and finished it successfully».

Freedom of belief in the European Union.

It must be for money and salaries.  The European Commission appointed Mairead McGuinness on March 26 as the » Special Envoy of the European Union for the promotion of freedom of religion or belief outside the EU». She comes from an Irish Catholic family. She was the first woman to graduate in agricultural economics from University College Dublin and worked for many years as a journalist:  «My mother had great faith; I inherited it from her».  The request for this position has been insistent from representatives of religions within the Union, particularly from the Commission of the Episcopal Conferences of the European Union (COMECE), chaired by Archbishop Mariano Crociata. He stated: «I had the privilege of working closely with her during her term as a Member of the European Parliament, even as vice-president responsible for dialogue with Churches and religious communities», and asked that she be granted a solid mandate and the appropriate human and financial resources.

«Of men and gods».

Thirty years have passed since the massacre of the monks of Tibhirine, their story moved the public thanks to the film «Of Gods and Men».  The film narrated the monks’ decision to remain in Tibhirine, an Algerian village of Muslim majority, sharing life with the people who had learned to love and respect them, while civil war ravaged the country and foreigners were ordered to leave Algeria. On the night of March 26 to 27, 1996, a group of armed men burst into the Trappist monastery and took away seven of the nine monks present (two managed to hide). Their deaths were announced on May 21. Brother Jean-Pierre Schumacher  calls them an «unknown group» in his recent book «Thibirine Vive», published by Libreria Editrice Vaticana.

Catholic schools in the Holy Land.

Distance education, closed schools —for exactly one month— and numerous difficulties, even for the simplest displacements. This is the panorama described by Father Ibrahim Faltas, general director of the schools of the Custody of the Holy Land , on the current situation in Jerusalem, especially for young Christians. 10,500 students and more than 1,000 teachers, in a total of 18 schools closed since February 28. It hurts me a lot to see the empty schools. I often think of the schools destroyed in Gaza and Lebanon: at that moment, I ask the Lord to console all the children who suffer in the world».

On another note, Pope Leo XIV met with Father Youssef Faltas Makar IVE who was a priest at the Church of the Holy Family in Gaza for the last 3 years. He was expressly forbidden to be accompanied to avoid the conversation topic drifting to the unjust situation faced by the Institute of the Incarnate Word.

Cruel euthanasia in Spain.

A young woman who was left paralyzed after a suicide attempt following a gang rape has died by assisted suicide, despite her father’s desperate attempt to intervene through the courts and all in a hospital of a religious order.  Noelia Castillo, from Barcelona, who spent much of her life living in collective residences, was brutally sexually assaulted by three men in 2022, plunging her into deep mental and emotional despair.  That same year, unable to cope with what had happened, she survived a suicide attempt by jumping from a five-story building, but was left paraplegic and tormented by pain. Brendan O’Neill in The Spectator: «The tragic life and death of Noelia Castillo exposes the perversity of state-assisted euthanasia»,. «The supposed «gift» of death to those who suffer pain or anguish is, in reality, a grotesque betrayal of the virtues of civilized society».  “Modern Europe talks endlessly about the importance of helping those suffering from mental illnesses, but to this anguished young woman death is granted. We live in the era of ‘MeToo’, but to this woman who suffered a sexual assault we offered not solidarity, but annihilation”. “Under the euthanasia regime, we sacrifice our human duties on the altar of ‘merciful death’”.

Matt Walsh  commentator from Daily Wire: «This is the worst story I’ve ever heard. Moreover, it is a clear example of the decline of Western civilization»- «Open the floodgates to the foreign hordes. Watch helplessly as they rape our wives and children. Then, euthanize their victims so they don’t complain» «All arguments in favor of euthanasia are unfounded». «Ours is the first society in history to suggest that being subjected to clinical euthanasia, exactly as stray dogs are sacrificed —and by someone else, not oneself— is the dignified way to die. It is totally incoherent. It fails even according to its own logic».

Archbishop Ignatius Ayau Kaigama of Abuja, Nigeria, during a press conference last week, asked the Trump administration to provide intelligence and weapons to the Nigerian government to help combat the brutal persecution of the country’s Christians at the hands of Islamic terrorists. «May persecution not have the last word: Heal Nigeria», Archbishop Kaigama praised Trump for being the first world leader to declare «clearly and unequivocally» that Nigerian Christians are being persecuted».  He called on the 47th president to share intelligence information and provide weapons to the Nigerian government in order to help them end the persecution once and for all. «I was glad when I heard Donald Trump say : «We are going to Nigeria; we are going to wipe out Boko Haram»».  «At Christmas, we received a gift: a bomb that fell on Nigerian soil and, to tell the truth, I wouldn’t know if it served any purpose. Since then, the number of attacks  and kidnappings perpetrated by Boko Haram and other groups has not stopped increasing».

An abortionist for the United Nations.

Republican legislators urge U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio to veto the nomination of former Chilean President Michelle Bachelet as the next United Nations (UN) Secretary-General, citing her record as a «pro-abortion fanatic». Bachelet  has been UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and Executive Director of UN Women and  her «curriculum reveals a pro-abortion fanatic intent on using political authority to override state sovereignty in favor of extremist agendas. She has openly attacked pro-life laws —including those in the United States— and has attempted to weaken them through intimidation and coercion».

Bachelet ran for president considering “essential” to legalize voluntary abortion when the health or life of the mother were [allegedly] at risk, the fetus was not viable, or in cases of rape, and was responsible for the morning-after pill being available in state hospitals. Under her administration, Chile legalized  abortion in those circumstances, although the law would have gone much further by creating a judicial exception for minors and limiting the conscience rights of healthcare personnel. The United Nations has long been known for pushing a pro-abortion agenda under the pretext of «human rights,» from criticizing nations that ban abortion to attempting to establish an international «right» to abortion.

Tickets for Cologne Cathedral.

Cologne Cathedral  is a «symbol of home» for many inhabitants and visitors of Cologne, says psychologist Stephan Grünewald. «We are already experiencing a crisis of disconnection and the feeling of not being welcome in our own country».  If the cathedral charges admission, people will feel that their home is closing. The most ardent atheists sigh and tell me how their hearts race when they pass through the Frechen rest area on the A4 at night and suddenly the cathedral spires rise like beacons. The cathedral is a promise made of stone: the world is different from what it often offers, it is warm, welcoming, beautiful.  It is truly amazing that the cathedral chapter does not invite the inhabitants of Cologne to the nave and ask for their advice: «Our cathedral is in trouble, what do we do?». I am sure that ideas would flow like Kölsch beer in the brewery across the street. Who can really distinguish between awe and fervent prayer, between tourism and contemplation? Paying admission turns Cologne Cathedral into a museum and in doing so, deprives it of a significant part of what it was originally conceived and built for.

French bishop convicted.

The Paris Court of Appeal has ordered former auxiliary bishop of the French capital, Jean-Michel di Falco, 84 years old, to pay more than 160,000 euros in compensation to a man who accused him of rape and sexual assault in the 1970s, when he was a minor. The alleged sexual abuses against Jean-Michel di Falco would have been committed when the former bishop was a priest and director of the Saint-Thomas d’Aquin school in Paris, between 1972 and 1975.  The prosecution dismissed the charges due to statute of limitations, according to criminal legislation.  The Court ruled that the civil action was not subject to the same statute of limitations. «From the evidence presented, it appears that Di Falco’s sexually illicit conduct» caused the victim «physical harm, for which he is obliged to compensate».

Protest at the Caracas nunciature.

Mothers, relatives, and human rights activists have called for a silent procession to the Apostolic Nunciature in Caracas  to demand Vatican intervention for the release of political prisoners in Venezuela.  The organizers explain that the initiative seeks to raise awareness of the difficult situation of political prisoners and urge the Catholic Church to continue its support for victims and their families, as well as its role as an international denouncer. The demonstration will take place in a spirit of silence, remembrance, and clamor for justice: the participants announce that they will carry candles and photographs of their loved ones, to reiterate that «it is not about numbers, it is about lives».

Compensation for abuses.

The Catholic Diocese  of Albany has agreed to pay $148 million to settle lawsuits filed by more than 400 people who allege they were victims of childhood sexual abuse by priests and other diocesan employees, in assaults dating back decades. The proposed settlement was announced by the diocese and a law firm representing nearly 200 of the plaintiffs who have filed sexual abuse claims and who are also claimants in the  ongoing diocesan bankruptcy case. The agreement still must be approved by the victims and a federal bankruptcy judge.  «As Bishop of Albany, I want to express a clear and unequivocal statement of guilt on the part of the diocese in its handling of predatory priests and other diocesan members».  «It is a shameful chapter in our history and no economic agreement like the one reached today can erase the pain caused to the victims. On behalf of the Diocese of Albany, I apologize and promise to be extremely diligent during my tenure in Albany to prevent anything like this from happening again».

The 30 years of Santa Marta.

On March 25, the solemnity of the Annunciation, the celebrations of the anniversary of the foundation of the Vatican structure took place, which hosted Pope Francis throughout his pontificate. Since 2022 it forms a single institution together with the International House of the Clergy, the Roman House of the Clergy, and the San Benito House. Mario Leite de Oliveira, director of the Domus Vaticanae, emphasized that this structure was not born simply as a monument but as “a place of concrete fraternity, a visible sign of the delicacy with which the Holy Father accompanies his priests, his collaborators, his brothers in the ministry”.  He recalled both St. John Paul II, founder of the House, and his successor Benedict XVI, as well as Pope Francis who lived in this house throughout his pontificate and Pope Leo XIV who assured his spiritual closeness to all those who celebrated this anniversary. Acerbi recalled both the “old Santa Marta House” “where the collaborators of the Secretariat of State were hosted” and the current Santa Marta House, thanking with gratitude the Vincentian sisters for “the assistance of the nuns of yesterday and those present here”.  Leo XIII instituted the “Pontificium Hospitium Sanctae Martae” in 1891. Subsequently, St. Paul VI in 1976 founded the “International House of the Clergy” and the “Roman House of the Clergy”. In 2008 Benedict XVI instituted “San Benito House”. Pope Francis in 2022 arranged for these structures to converge into a single institution called “Domus Vaticanae”.
