And also one of the last of that innumerable legion that sanctified the Spain of his days. Today, unfortunately, the vast majority of Spaniards do not know the name of any Jesuit who stands out in anything. And certainly not in holiness, in which there were so many examples in those years. Also in that, Fr. Mendizábal is a reference.
On the centenary of his birth appears the first volume of his writings published by Pablo Cervera, which is an additional guarantee. I am sure that Fr. Mendizábal will continue to do as much good with his works as he did in life with his ministry.
And undoubtedly they will be one more element in a beatification process that is imperative.
