The Capuchin archbishop turned 76 years old last December 15. The Pope can accept his resignation whenever he wants.
It had already been accepted in February 2025. The current archbishop is the Franciscan who was his coadjutor, José Adolfo Larregain.
It has gone from OFMCap to simply OFM. And the Capuchin has gotten out of it unscathed.
