In the plenary assembly of the Argentine episcopate -one of the most decadent in the world-, which took place this week, several bishops showed their indignation with «Trucho» and his statement about the Virgin. Even among the ultra-Bergoglians, the kiss expert is rejected; for his intrigues, affectations, and «careerism». «It’s the limit -said one of them- This outrages, especially, the poorest; those whom they claim to defend so much. So much synodality, so much listening, so much verbiage and, in the end, ‘I call the shots here’. Many priests from my diocese called me scandalized. They have no words to respond to the mountain of questions they are asked».
Another, from the deep Argentine interior, where due to its characteristics the faithful people are very Marian, furious, exclaimed: «These from Rome, including ‘Tuchito’, live inside a shoe. Evidently, they are working to Protestantize the Church. God save us and protect us from his return to our country, as Archbishop of Buenos Aires; as is insistently rumored».
Another, also very sharp, said: «The best would be to appoint ‘Tuchito’ to a diocese that doesn’t even exist yet, like it could be, for example, ‘Lavender City’. Undoubtedly, he would be very comfortable there».
Evidently, the blood has reached the river. Even among the -in their vast majority- unpresentable Argentine bishops. From whom one cannot expect, obviously, heroic witness of the faith; and not even some valuable idea, of common sense…
