It is the first installment in Germinans and as a work by Oriol Trillas, a great connoisseur of the Catalan ecclesial reality and, if anything more so, of the Barcelona one, I undoubtedly recommend its reading and, of course, the continuation that it announces. It is, from what is shown in this preview, a finished portrait of the person and of his Barcelona pontificate, and also a farewell since he has less than four months left at the head of the Diocese of Barcelona. And that in the case that León keeps him until the 80 years he will turn on the next April 21. Of course, the Pope could keep him a few more days but I don’t think he will exceed that date by a tiny margin.
Well, I impatiently await the continuation of Trillas’s article which I do not hesitate to recommend to everyone.
And what is certain is that Omella is going to leave without anyone missing him. The Spanish Church, the Catalan one, and the Barcelona one will be much better with him as emeritus.
