Faithful have convened for this Wednesday, March 25, a prayer vigil at Sant Camil hospital, in Sant Pere de Ribes (Barcelona), in support of Noelia and her family, with hours left before she receives euthanasia.
The call, scheduled for 22:00 hours, invites spiritual accompaniment for the young woman through prayer, as a sign of closeness and hope. The initiative will continue on Thursday, March 26, with a new gathering at the DGAIA headquarters, on Avinguda del Paral·lel in Barcelona, where attendees are also encouraged to pray and leave flowers as a sign of support.

Noelia’s case has caused deep commotion. In 2022, she suffered multiple rape in a supervised center and, after attempting to take her own life, became paraplegic. Now, after years of legal battles between the State and her family, she could become the first person in Spain to receive euthanasia for depression.
The vigil is thus presented as a gesture of human and spiritual accompaniment, which seeks to express closeness to Noelia and her family and reaffirm the value of life, especially in the midst of suffering. Under the motto “Noelia, you are not alone”, it seeks to make visible that, in the face of loneliness and hopelessness, it is always possible to respond with presence, prayer, and support.
