Alcorcón (Madrid), March 2026.The XIV Congress of Catholic Families and Teachers, organized by the Fundación Educatio Servanda, will bring together next March 21 at the Colegio Juan Pablo II in Alcorcón (Madrid) hundreds of families, teachers, and educators with the aim of reflecting on the major educational challenges of the current moment.

A few days before its celebration, the response has been particularly notable. The Congress has 850 spots in total—650 for adults and 200 for childcare services—, of which nearly 790 have already been filled, so only about 60 spots remain available.

The event will take place under the motto “Educating well in difficult times: criteria for brave parents”, a proposal that seeks to offer clear criteria and educational tools to families and teachers in a cultural context marked by profound social, technological, and anthropological changes.

A program to address current educational challenges

The day will bring together various figures from the educational, cultural, and ecclesial fields who will address some of the main challenges facing parents and educators today.

The opening session will feature the participation of Juan Carlos Corvera, president and founder of the Fundación Educatio Servanda; mons. José María Avendaño, auxiliary bishop of Getafe; and Vicente Bellver, director of the Congress.

Among the speakers in this edition are the philosopher and theologian Francisco Javier Rubio Hípola, the university professor Teresa Pueyo, the writer and cultural disseminator Diego Blanco, and the poet and essayist Enrique García-Máiquez.

Likewise, the Congress will feature a roundtable organized by Forum Libertas titled “What if God had a plan for you? Born for something more”, in which René ZZ, Carla Restoy, and Pietro Ditano will participate, moderated by the journalist Miriam Esteban.

Educating in times of cultural uncertainty

The Congress is based on the conviction that educating has never been an easy task, but that in the current context it especially requires criteria, training, and courage on the part of parents and educators.

Among the topics to be addressed during the day are the formation of character in the face of dominant sentimentalism, the education of moral conscience, the transmission of faith in the family, and the cultural impact of technology and artificial intelligence on the lives of children and young people.

The organizers emphasize that, in a world marked by technological acceleration, education remains one of the most decisive tasks for the future of society, called to form free, responsible people open to truth and transcendence.

The day will conclude with the celebration of Holy Mass presided over by mons. Ginés García Beltrán, bishop of Getafe, in the chapel of the school itself.
