They launch a «Eucharistic Reparation Crusade» to repair offenses against the Most Holy and pray for the restoration of the Traditional Mass

The Catholic portal OnePeterFive has launched the Eucharistic Reparation Crusade, an initiative promoted in collaboration with Benedictus and the Mass of the Ages apostolate, which seeks to mobilize faithful from around the world to offer adoration, prayer, and penance in reparation for the offenses committed against the Most Blessed Sacrament.

The campaign aims to foster greater reverence toward the Eucharist and strengthen faith in the Real Presence of Christ in the altar through concrete practices of Eucharistic devotion. The initiative, driven mainly by laypeople, also has the support of Msgr. Athanasius Schneider.

Inspiration in the Message of Fatima

The organizers recall that the angel of Fatima taught the little shepherds the importance of reparation, especially the reparation offered to Christ present in the Eucharist.

This call constitutes one of the fundamental elements of the spiritual message of Fatima and retains full relevance in the life of the Church.

The message thus underscores the need to strengthen faith in the dogma of the Real Presence of Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the altar, considered the center of Catholic sacramental life.

A “spiritual crusade” sustained by the faithful

The crusade was originally convened by Msgr. Schneider in June 2020, amid the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, as a response to various situations that—according to its promoters—affected the respect due to the Most Blessed Sacrament.

Six years later, the organizers have decided to reactivate this spiritual initiative, inviting the faithful to participate through prayer, Eucharistic adoration, and penance. The objective is to offer reparation for the offenses committed against the Eucharist and to pray for the restoration of the traditional Mass in the life of the Church

Spiritual Commitments of the Crusade

Those who wish to join the Eucharistic Reparation Crusade must assume two simple commitments:

  • Perform at least one hour of Eucharistic adoration per month, offered in reparation for the sins committed against the Most Blessed Sacrament.

  • Pray at least once a month the prayer of reparation to the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, composed by Bishop Athanasius Schneider. (We leave it at the end of this note)

The initiative also proposes some optional practices for those who want to get more involved: pray the Memorare daily with weekly penance for the restoration of the traditional Mass or perform additional holy hours of reparation.

Promoting Eucharistic Reverence in Parishes and Dioceses

The initiative also invites the faithful to promote acts of reparation and Eucharistic formation in their communities.

Among the proposals are organizing Masses and Eucharistic reparation days, especially around the octave of Corpus Christi, as well as disseminating educational materials, articles, and documentaries on the liturgical tradition of the Church, such as the series Mass of the Ages.

The promoters of the campaign consider that these initiatives can contribute to strengthening faith in the Eucharist and rediscovering the centrality of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Christian life.

My God, I believe, I adore, I trust, and I love You! I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust, and do not love You. (3 times)

O Divine Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, behold, we prostrate ourselves before the majesty of Your redemptive love in the Most Blessed Sacrament with a contrite and adoring heart. We declare our willingness to make reparation through voluntary expiation, not only for our own personal offenses, but particularly for the unspeakable outrages, sacrileges, and indifferences with which You are offended in the Most Blessed Sacrament of Your divine love in our time, especially through the practice of Communion in the hand and the reception of Holy Communion in a state of unbelief and mortal sin.

The more unbelief attacks Your divinity and Your Real Presence in the Eucharist, the more we believe in You and adore You, O Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, in whom the fullness of the divinity dwells.

The more Your sacraments are outraged, the more firmly we believe in them and with greater reverence we wish to receive them, O Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, source of life and holiness.

The more Your Most Blessed Sacrament is denigrated and blasphemed, the more solemnly we proclaim:
“My God, I believe, I adore, I trust, and I love You! I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust, and do not love You,”
O Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, most worthy of all praise.

The more You are abandoned and forgotten in Your churches, the more we want to visit You, You who dwell among us in the tabernacles of our churches, O Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, House of God and Gate of Heaven.

The more the celebration of the Eucharistic Sacrifice is deprived of its sacred character, the more we want to sustain a reverent celebration of Holy Mass, exteriorly and interiorly oriented toward You, O Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, Tabernacle of the Most High.

The more You are received in the hand by communicants standing, in a manner lacking in sign of humility and adoration, the more we want to receive You kneeling and on the tongue, with the humility of the publican and the simplicity of a child, O Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, of infinite majesty.

The more You are received in Holy Communion by hearts not purified in a state of mortal sin, the more we want to make acts of contrition and purify our heart through the frequent reception of the sacrament of Penance, O Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, our Peace and Reconciliation.

The more hell works for the perdition of souls, the more our zeal for their salvation burns with the fire of Your love, O Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, salvation of those who hope in You.

The more the diversity of religions is declared as God’s positive will and as a right founded in human nature, and the more doctrinal relativism grows, the more we boldly confess that You are the only Savior of humanity and the only way to God the Father, O Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, King and center of all hearts.

The more the authorities of the Church continue unrepentant for having allowed the exhibition of pagan idols in churches, even in Rome, the more we will confess the truth:
“What agreement can there be between the temple of God and idols?” (2 Cor 6,16);
and the more we will condemn with You “the abomination of desolation, placed in the holy place” (Mt 24,15),
O Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, holy Temple of God.

The more Your holy commandments are forgotten and transgressed, the more we want to observe them with the help of Your grace, O Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, abyss of all virtues.

The more sensuality, selfishness, and pride reign among men, the more we want to consecrate our lives to You in a spirit of sacrifice and self-denial, O Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, overwhelmed with reproaches.

The more violently the gates of hell assault Your Church and the rock of Peter in Rome, the more we believe in the indestructibility of Your Church, O Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, source of all consolation, who do not abandon Your Church or the rock of Peter even in the strongest storms.

The more men separate themselves from one another by hatred, violence, and selfishness, the more we want to love one another intimately in You, as members of the one family of God in the Church, O Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, full of goodness and love.

O Divine Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, grant us Your grace so that we may be faithful and humble adorers, lovers, defenders, and consolers of Your Eucharistic Heart in this life, and may we come to contemplate the glory of Your love in the beatific vision for all eternity. Amen.

My God, I believe, I adore, I trust, and I love You! I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not trust, and do not love You. (3 times)

Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament, pray for us.

Saint Thomas Aquinas, Saint Peter Julian Eymard, Saint Francisco Marto, Saint Padre Pio, and all the Eucharistic saints, pray for us.

Written by Bishop Athanasius Schneider for this Eucharistic Reparation Crusade.
