The Fraternity of Saint Vincent Ferrer has announced the priestly ordination of Brother Thomas-Marie Warmuz and the ordination as subdeacon of Brother André-Marie Mwanza, in a ceremony held on January 17th, on the occasion of the feast of Our Lady of Pontmain.
According to the fraternity itself through a message posted on social media, the ordination took place in France and was conferred by Monsignor Alain Castet, emeritus bishop of Luçon. The act was celebrated in the liturgical context proper to this Marian devotion, deeply rooted in French Catholic tradition.

The Fraternity of Saint Vincent Ferrer, of Dominican inspiration and known for its attachment to traditional liturgy, thus continues its work of priestly formation and vocational promotion within the Church. The priestly ordination of Brother Thomas-Marie Warmuz means his full incorporation into the presbyteral ministry, while Brother André-Marie Mwanza received the order of subdiaconate, a step prior to the diaconate and priesthood.
In its statement, the fraternity encouraged the faithful to pray for the newly ordained, emphasizing the importance of prayer for priestly and religious vocations. The announcement was accompanied by several images of the ceremony, in which the development of the rite according to traditional liturgical forms can be seen.
