The Bishop of Orihuela-Alicante, José Ignacio Munilla, and the philosopher Miguel Ángel Quintana Paz, director of the ISSEP, starred in a public debate uncommon between a prelate and a lay intellectual. The event, held at the CEU and moderated by Isidro Catela, was titled «The War in Gaza and the Church in the Face of Contemporary Conflicts» and addressed issues of geopolitics, Christian ethics, and communications from the Spanish Episcopal Conference. Although the conversation initially revolved around Gaza, it soon delved into fundamental topics: the Church’s mission in war contexts, ideological temptation, the hierarchy of moral priorities, and the media role of the episcopate.
