Pope Leo XIV has appointed as the new Vicar General of the Prefecture of the Papal Household the Fr. Edward Daniang Daleng, a religious of the Order of St. Augustine (O.S.A.), who until now served as General Counselor and General Procurator of the Order.
The Prefecture of the Papal Household is the body responsible for organizing the audiences, ceremonies, and official acts of the Pope, both in the Vatican and in the Apostolic Palace. The position of vicar general, under the authority of the prefect, plays a key role in coordinating activities and in receiving dignitaries and pilgrims.
