Who is the devil and how does he act? A new documentary reveals the battle of the exorcists

Next October 30, on the eve of Halloween and at the gates of the All Saints’ Day holiday, the documentary Triumph Over Evil: The Exorcists’ Fight will premiere in the United States. It will be a unique one-day event, distributed by Fathom Entertainment in collaboration with Goya Producciones, which seeks to bring to the general public a reality that the Church cannot silence: the existence of the demon and the mission of the exorcists.

The first authorized documentary on exorcism

According to its producers, it is the first authorized documentary that addresses demonic possession and the rite of exorcism in a direct and systematic manner. The film combines dramatizations, interviews, and testimonies to explain fundamental issues: Who is the devil and how does he act? What are his most frequent weapons? When can one speak of true diabolical possession and not a psychological problem? What does an exorcism consist of and how does it develop?

The film also highlights the role of Catholic priests called to exercise the ministry of exorcism, and reminds that in this battle the Virgen María occupies a central place as Mother of the Church and aid of the faithful.

The voice of Father Amorth and the endorsement of the exorcists

The movie includes interventions and reflections from the renowned Father Gabriele Amorth, who was the exorcist of the Diocese of Rome and one of the most recognized figures in this ministry. His testimony adds value to the film, as Amorth was for decades the world reference in this field.

Additionally, the project has the sponsorship and official approval of the International Association of Exorcists, an entity recognized by the Holy See. This detail distinguishes “Triumph Over Evil” as the only film production directly endorsed by this institution, which gives it credibility in the face of so many movies that address the theme of exorcism from sensationalism or fiction.

An opportunity for formation and discernment

Although the premiere will be only in the United States, for the moment, some cinemas will offer the version dubbed in Spanish, which will allow the Hispanic audience to participate in this event. Tickets are already available on the page of Fathom Entertainment.

The success or failure of this initiative will not be measured so much at the box office as in its ability to help the faithful distinguish between the caricature of the devil and the reality of evil, and to become aware of the importance of prayer, the sacraments, and the pastors called to wage this battle.
