In early October, the European Commission presented its new LGBTIQ+ Equality Strategy 2026-2030, a political plan that confirms Brussels' ideological drift in matters of sexual identity and family. The document establishes, as a binding commitment, that Member States must implement legal gender recognition procedures based on personal self-determination, without age restrictions or medical requirements. In other words: even children will be able to legally change their sex without parental consent or professional supervision.
Elimination of safeguards and break with biological truth
The strategy goes beyond administrative issues. It aims to eliminate any medical, psychological, or family control, replacing biological reality with self-perceived identity as the sole legal criterion. This places minors in a situation of extreme vulnerability, stripping parents of their natural right to protect their children and relegating science to an irrelevant role in the face of ideology.
The document does not hide its objective: to normalize self-determination as an absolute principle, imposing a single model on all countries in the Union. What until recently was presented as an open debate now becomes supranational imposition, where dissent is punished with economic sanctions.
Education, family, and sovereignty in the crosshairs
The strategy includes funding for school programs and public campaigns to “sensitize” on gender identity issues. It also requires all States to automatically recognize so-called “rainbow families”, forcing national legislations to accept as equivalent any family model defined by Brussels.
This approach represents a direct interference in educational, family, and legal competencies that until now corresponded to each country. The Commission thus assumes the role of moral and cultural arbiter of Europe, imposing an ideology that ignores tradition, anthropology, and the sovereignty of nations.
A project contrary to human dignity and the Christian faith
This plan constitutes a frontal attack on the truth of the human being, created male and female. Unrestricted gender self-determination erodes personal dignity, confuses children, and denies parents' rights. Turning sexual identity into a mere administrative act is equivalent to denying biological reality and the natural order.
What the Commission presents as an advance in rights is nothing more than a direct attack that threatens childhood, destroys the family, and undermines Europe's cultural foundations. Ideology replaces reason, and economic pressure replaces democratic dialogue.
A Europe reconfigured from above
The document reveals a broader ambition: to reconfigure Europe not only economically, but culturally and morally, through norms that radically transform the conception of man and society. The European Commission, in the name of equality, positions itself as the legislator of human identity, leaving States and families without voice or defense.
