The Catholic influencer Nachter —Ignacio Gil Conesa— and his wife Roseanne shared with humor and simplicity the “secret ingredient” to maintain joy in family life, even in the midst of difficulties. The testimony took place at the Torreciudad Sanctuary, within the framework of the 33rd Marian Day of the Family, which brought together more than six thousand people.
In response to the question about how to keep a good mood at home, the couple answered in unison: “We’ll say it on three. One, two, three: God”, as reported by Aciprensa.
Humor in the face of suffering
Nachter acknowledged that maintaining joy is not always easy: “We are the first to fall into a bad mood when there are problems. I can’t imagine the Virgin Mary watching her son’s suffering on the cross and keeping her humor”. But he emphasized that the key is trust: “God is your father, God loves you madly, and if He loves you madly, what He does is for your good, even if you don’t understand it”.
For her part, Roseanne recalled that pain “is part of life”: “We can feel sadness and suffering, but let them not define us. In the end, we have two options: either we draw closer to God and family, or we move away”.
Transmitting Christian values through example
When asked about how to transmit faith in daily life, Nachter highlighted: “Example is the best way to teach. First, you have to live the values yourself, be that joyful person, and then transmit it to others”.
Roseanne added the importance of respecting freedom: “If each one lives the faith well, it shows. People see it in you, even if they don’t know what it is, and they wonder why you are so happy”. The young woman recalled as an example the testimony of Nachter’s parents during his sister’s wedding in the Philippines: “Everyone was commenting: ‘you can tell they adore each other’. And my mother-in-law’s response was clear: ‘the secret is God’”.
Practical advice for family life
At the end of the meeting, the couple shared a concrete piece of advice. Roseanne encouraged cultivating “a spirit of service in each family member, thinking about how to contribute and how to serve”.
Nachter, on the other hand, directed a message to parents and children: “Parents, try to connect more with your children, get a little into TikTok, Instagram, to understand them, not just to prohibit. And children, spend more time with your family, put the phone down a bit”.
The influencer concluded with a warning: “You will never regret having spent too little time with the phone. But having spent too little time with the family, surely you will”.
